Bluebirds and Purplebirds
Everyone knows of the Bluebird of Happiness, right? Well, when that bluebird of happiness happens to fly out the window, as we know he is wont to do on occasion, then just look around for the Purplebird of Possibility!

YAY!! He's shiny! Felt birds have always been a favorite with me. And I always do them that way - with embroidery thread blanket stitch. I think he would do well paired with the red bird of readiness and the pink bird of perspicacity. He has such an elegant shape. Je pense que'il est Francais! I was just thinking about sequins the other day. I don't think I have a single one anymore. Gotta fix that.
ReplyDeleteSequins and buttons...and I have found that I am not a primary color kind of girl...secondary colors and black and white and grey. You read my mind. I am thinking of a whole flock, too. My latest thing is learning to do some fancy stitches...like the feathery ones on the tail and the scaley ones on the wing. I want to attempt a crazy quilt at some point.
