peace

self-control

What words do you want to add to the list?

  1. That's funny. I have been thinking all day about New Year's resolutions. Mine, at present, is to be more selfless in the coming year. I've been wondering how you measure that. I mean, how do you know if you are really and truly becoming a less selfish person? I was trying to think of words to add to the list. I had a hard time because this list encompasses a lot of other words. I did manage to come up with two, though.

    Gratitude/Thankfulness

    Contentment

Although, now that I am thinking of it, contentment might fall under peace. At least, I know that contentment brings me peace.

  2. Gratitude is certainly one for the list. I have long worked on being less selfish...been reading lots of good books sort of about this. (You, however, already seem to be a seriously generous person.)
The Me I Want to Be
    The Jesus I Never Knew
    The Feast
Let me know when you want to borrow them.

  3. Such a good list... I agree, it is hard to add because these words can encompass so much. I would add compassion and forgiveness.

  5. My mother often taught about the Fruits of the Spirit and how we should strive to be all those things, just like Jesus. I think she did a pretty good job on achieving that for herself, and what an example she set for the rest of us! Knowing that helps me make peace with the days to come.

  6. Yay. You found them even though I put them in ABC order. She did teach you well and you will remember...
